Spring Flower Bracelet

March 8, 2012

A new bracelet. I really like the look of the soft green jade parts with the copper.

Blog Giveaway at Treasures Found!

March 7, 2012

Head over to Treasures Found for a chance to win these lovely colourful silk ribbons and a coordinating pendant from Marsha Neal Studio:

I know, I know. I’m only blogging about other people’s giveaways and not doing any work of my own – I can’t help it, it’s not my fault they’re all so generous 😉

I had intended to do a Bead Table Wednesday today, but I was sick and stayed in bed, so there were no beads on my table today. Maybe tomorrow.

Yet another Blog Giveaway at Lorelei’s!

March 6, 2012

Lorelei is having a blog giveaway. Again. I know, right? That lady is spoiling her readers. This giveaway ends tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have no idea whether or not this one is open for us people living outside the US. Had to share it anyway, because – just look at those beads! All of that is polymer clay!!! I should go and hide in a corner, seriously. The beads were made by Hillovely:

Blog Challenge at Lorelei’s!

March 5, 2012

Head over to Lorelei’s Blog for a lovely blog challenge that, for once, is open to participants outside the US, too (like me, yay!). She will draw 10 random commenters tomorrow, who will receive a pair of these beauties to try out:

Good luck to you (and me!)! 🙂

OMG – I’m a robot!

March 4, 2012

I simply can’t beat the Captcha on Art Bead Scene Blog anymore. Nor on Humblebeads Blog or, supposedly, any other Blogger user that has word verification enabled. And I mean: never ever. I can’t prove that I’m not a robot. I tried a gazillion times. And I’m 100% positive that some of them were right. I believe this problem has been going on ever since the Captcha started looking like this (remember that it was red before?):

I feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall, trying to get in. Does anyone else have this problem or know what I can do about it? I would have left a comment about it, but, well. I can’t.

Maybe I am a robot and just don’t know it…

Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Bracelet Design and Photography

March 3, 2012

A simple bracelet without Art Beads. I had these beads lying around, wanting to turn them into a necklace. But they missed a key element, the design was too simple for a necklace. Today I gave up and turned it into a bracelet instead, for that the design works well enough.

Unfortunately my camera just doesn’t capture the colours (no flash this time), that blue is much darker in reality. Also, crappy photo. I need to work on that…

I recruited my boyfriend to take a new photo. Better?

Art Bead Scene Monthly Challenge – March 2012

March 2, 2012

For once, an early entry for the Monthly Challenge over at Art Bead Scene. The inspiration painting is “Le Moulin a Poivre” by Vincent Van Gogh:

I suppose I could have thought of something different, but the flags captured my attention. The bracelet looks a lot better in reality and on my wrist. The vintage heart bead is a bit scratched, but it’s not actually noticable without the strong flash I had to use to get a half-decent picture despite the gloomy weather. The wave-patterned polymer clay bead is one of mine.
