Faux Bronze Connectors

That’s what I love about working with polymer clay: it’s so simple to create your own jewelry components! For these connectors, I made polymer clay molds from old buttons, charms and beads. The connectors are dusted with bronze powder and antiqued with black acrylic paint. I’m not sure if I should varnish them or not, because that makes them look more like glazed ceramic. On the other hand, I’m afraid that the bronze powder might rub off with time. If you have experience with these materials, any tips are welcome!
